Holy Spirit Center Men’s Group

The Men’s Group will had its first meeting of the year on Saturday, Sept 13. The group meets every other Saturday at 7:00am in the Resurrection Chapel for faith sharing. It begins with Mass and is followed by hospitality time with coffee and goodies and then a faith sharing time. This year we will be reading the book “Reaching for the Invisible God” by Philip Yancey.

Fall Evening Series – Family, Faith, and Country Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm to 8:30pm at Holy Spirit Center. Topics will include: the Family Synod, Sensus Fidei, Moral Dilemmas of Partisanship, and Quotes from Pope Francis. Come join us for an enlightening series of open discussions. The open forum style discussions will be facilitated by John Goll, Alan Muise, Brenda Maiman, and Fr. Luz Flores. Free will offering.

Holy Spirit Center Fall Retreat:

A Dialogue of Life and Faith - Led by Fr. Luz Flores, the pastoral director at Holy Spirit Center, this retreat will lead us in a meaningful dialogue of faith. Fr Luz will explore how we express our faith in our lives; how the richness of our individual cultures, traditions and values interplay with our individual experiences; and how we can respect and accept other faiths while remaining true to our own. The retreat will include presentations, time for reflection, a healing service, Mass, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Adoration, and an opportunity for the sacrament of reconciliation.

The retreat begins at 7pm, Friday, Oct 31, and ends after noon lunch on Sunday, Nov 2.

Advent Reflection Day—From Creche to Christ - A visual meditation on God’s gift to us in Jesus Christ. Enter into deepening prayer and contemplation through the dual lenses of Scripture and sacred art from the 3rd through the 21st centuries. Led by Susan Jayich, MA, this day of reflection is scheduled from 9am to 12:30pm.  Fee: $35.00. Because attendance is limited to 20 participants, please register by calling Alan Muise at 346-2343.
